     Culajao Mangrove Eco-Park in Roxas City, Capiz has the distinction of being a community protected mangrove reserve and the only one within the city. It stretches within 4.69 hectares and home to diverse marine and mangrove species. From the road take a short walk under the shed of mangroves along the way to get to the reception area. Mingle with nature and get a flight out in this world relaxing in nipa huts interconnected with at least 100 meters of thrilling pedestrian suspension bridges.  Nipa huts are in different sizes and can host at most 20 persons.Compared to Bakhawan, Culajao Eco Park in Roxas City is much smaller at 4.6 hectares. But the park in roxas City has more mangrove species compared to the ones in Kalibo. Culajao is home to 19 mangrove species, seven kinds of birds, 23 shellfishes, 10 mollusks, seven fishes, and eight insects.The Culajao Eco Park is perfect for educational tours, barkada weekend excursions, or a simple family picnic. There are cottages available.Boats are also available for those who wish to experience the park in a different way.Recently, the Culajao Mangrove Eco Park has received a special citation as “Eco Tourism Product” during the Western Visayas Tourism Assembly. It was then that she meet former Brgy. Captain Villagracia who accompanied her take the boat through Culajao river to the mangrove area and told her the stories of how they defended it from adjacent fishpond owners who wanted to extend their dikes to include the area.  She take note of it until 2001 when as CRM Coordinator she spearheaded the formulation of the city's coastal zoning plan and the New Fishery and CRM Ordinance.  It was yet in1994 when a fisheries technician of the City agriculture Services Office of Roxas City LGU visited Brgy. Culajao to include its coastal resources in the preparation of the City's Fishery Profile as Seafood's Capital of the country. It was then that she meet former Brgy. Captain Villagracia. Culajao Ecopark is home to 19 mangrove species, eleven kinds of birds, twenty-three shellfishes, ten mollusks, seven fishes, and eight insects. Watch the other exotic bird flying like heron around by catching fish for its food. A fish cage is also available for line and hook fishing.
